Akira is a minor character of Mega Man X: Unit 49. She is a Reploid celebrity of the 2190's and a presenter of the Channel 7 News.
During Parade, she was about to make a comforting announcement, which was the government's newest project, the Earth Army. However, the TV stationis invaded by Mavericks and they the channel to broadcast Saturn's speech to the whole world in order to spread his ideals and show his power in a fight against the Maverick Hunters. Akira's whereabouts are unknown, and she is presumably dead or kidnapped.
